Where: 387 Ormeau Road, 387 Ormeau Road, Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT7 3GP
When: 14th January 2018
I have to confess, I had had my eye on coming to 387 since I’d arrive in Northern Ireland 2 and a half months ago, in fact I was going to head there the first day I arrived but I was a in a faff with my bike and lost time going in circles around the city centre. I finally got here on my last day!
387 is completely vegan, even down to the cleaning products used, so I read somewhere! It’d taken me long enough to get here, so I wanted to try a bit of everything. I had a hot chocolate with oat milk and a side of delicious marshmallows and beautiful artwork in the milk, a sausage roll with the most perfect flakey pastry and a bagel with cream cheese. The boyfriend had a breakfast burrito filled with scrambled tofu, tomato, potato and spinach, he reported that it was tasty and filling.
As well as the cafe, they have a small retail but packed retail section with vegan cheese, miso, coffee, cleaning products, everything you can think of.
I hang my head in shame that it took me so long to get there, but if I come back to Northern Ireland, it’ll be my first stop.
