A little stop for dinner on a Sunday evening brought us to the Tarro Lounge, a spacious and relaxed cafe bar on The Crescent in Hinckley, not so far from Coventry. The Tarro Lounge is part of a chain called ‘The Lounges’ started in 2002 in Bristol, who now have numerous locations around the England.
One of the things that first impressed me about this place, apart from the super cool interior, was that vegan menus (and gluten free menus) were already out on the tables as standard, this may seem like a small thing to mention but in a non-vegan establishment, was a nice detail.
I went for the Mexican Super Bowl, which consisted of rice, rocket, black beans, sweet potato with salsa; lovely and healthy. My lovely eating companions (aka lovely parents) went for the vegan breakfast, consisting of falafel, hash browns, spinach & peppers and toast. It usually comes with mushrooms too, but they were out so they were offered extra of anything of their choosing.
Nicely thought out vegan options with a relaxed atmosphere and thoughtful staff, this place gets the thumbs up from me!
