Pantip Plaza is a 5 storey tech mall, floor to ceiling selling everything techie you could possibly imagine; laptops for gaming, cameras and accessories, retro gaming consoles and games and even a space where you can play VR games with your pals. This was the boyfriend’s domain, but I didn’t mind coming along and seeing something I would never have gone to if I had been travelling solo.
I discovered this cute little cafe on the 3rd floor, called Ken Cafe, a nice refuge if you need a break from comparing prices and spec – i5, i3, i7?! SSD?! I’ll just leave him to it and enjoy a nice refreshing lychee tea, thanks, with fresh lychee on top.
Beware the salted broad beans in a little packet – they contain added lactose.
In the end, the boyfriend did get quite a bargain of a laptop, though we missed our bus to Chiang Mai…more on that later.
