It was pretty hot in Chiang Mai – 30 degrees, compared to the snowy and icey weather we’d left behind in the UK and Ireland, so we were craving some ice cream. We popped into Taste From Heaven, a completely vegan and vegetarian cafe in the old town, with a buzzing atmosphere and a mix of Thai and western dishes on their menu.
We both had a vegan chocolate brownie with vegan ice cream, I had the vanilla and he had the chocolate, excellent choices, the ice cream was cooling and the brownie was a lovely moist and dense texture.
They used to provide cooking classes here but aren’t anymore at the time of writing, hopefully they will start doing some again in the future, the rest of the menu looked great and the cafe had a great ethos – I particularly liked the quotes from famous people behind the desk!
