Where: Thai Curry, Ploen Ruedee Night Market, Chang Klan Road, Amphoe Muang Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, Thailand
When: 8th March 2018
We stumbled across Ploen Ruedee Night Market on our way to Chiang Mai’s night bazaar. It was lively and colourful with a welcoming atmosphere. Pretty lights strung from stall to stall whilst a funky live band played excellent 70s covers in the bandstand (if anyone recognises them please send me a message, they were great and I didn’t catch their name) and there’s even a spot to have a thai massage.
The stalls were an eclectic mix of cuisine from around the world as well as cocktails and juices. There were a few vegan friendly options including V Secret – a vegetarian and vegan stall was closed at the time, but I found some lovely vegetable spring rolls at a stall called ‘Thai Curry’. Perfectly crispy, seaweed neatly tied round them and stuffed with freshly stir fried vegetables.
Great atmosphere and an enjoyable place just to wander around.
Ploen Ruedee Night Market opens Monday – Saturday, 6pm – 11pm.
