Funky Vege is a relatively newly opened completely vegan cafe in the Lamai area of Koh Samui. It’s an absolute treasure! Run by a lovely, friendly lady, Funky Vege is a fusion between Thai and Western Cuisine, they also have a great selection of juices and smoothies, that come with bamboo straws, a detail I was particularly impressed with.
We went for the funky vege burger, I somehow couldn’t resist the lure of bright pink bread! It was awesome, freshly made on the day, but I have to confess, I enjoyed it so much and I never thought to ask what makes the bread pink…
I had a lovely coconut water and a Bright Eyes Juice – carrot, apple and pineapple.
Pop in and find out for yourself, if you’re vegan or like good food in general Funky Vege us not to be missed, also delicious looking desserts popping up on their Facebook page pretty regularly. I can see myself coming back to this area just for the food!
