Kiwi Orchid & PL Guesthouse is a hive of activity just around the corner from Ranong bus station. There is a cafe serving beer, freshly made juices and food, they operate as a travel agency arranging anything from snorkelling trips, to visa runs, and of course, they have their own basic but comfortable rooms as accommodation, reasonably priced too.
I stayed here for a night and enjoyed a fresh fruit salad for breakfast which included mangoes, pineapple and oranges, and before I hopped on the bus back to Bangkok I had some dinner here too, a nice, simple, fried rice dish with mixed vegetables.
