Kanom Krok and other street food, Thailand

Kanom Krok
Kanom krok, Dinso Road, Bangkok

Street food in Thailand has some treasures for vegans, including these delicious coconut ‘pancakes’, ‘kanom krok’, made from coconut milk, and fried in a special pan, these also had a little piece of corn in and then they’re put together. Hot and coconut-y little treats, very tasty. I had heard of these and I was keeping my eye out for the whole month and finally came across them on the evening of my final day. These were made by a really lovely guy on Dinso Road between the giant swing and the democracy monument.

Other lovely street food I enjoyed around Thailand includes deep fried plantain, corn and yam, not incredibly photogenic, but really nice, hot and gooey, in a good way, as well the beautifully cut fruits such as pineapple, mangoes and watermelon sold on many street stalls.
