When: 31st March 2018
Where: Crosstown Doughnuts Stall, 75 Broadway Market, E8 4PH
Broadway Market is on every Saturday 9am – 5pm and is home to an incredible array of beautiful street food, arts, crafts and fresh produce. There were a number of stalls advertising vegan cuisine and after much deliberation, my food of choice was some tasty doughnuts from Crosstown Doughnuts. They have a number of their own outlets across London, pop up in various markets and they even have a delivery service, and if I’m understanding their website correctly, their shop in Marylebone is entirely vegan. How awesome is that!?
The stall was well laid out with clear labels, with all vegan doughnuts in one tray, displaying a mix of classic and creative flavours using sourdough. The guys running the stall were lovely and helpful. We went for the blood orange with pistachio crumble and beetroot dough and a dark chocolate truffle doughnut with truffle-filling. Both were awesome, I particularly liked the blood orange one as I have a soft spot for blood orange. I’ll definitely have to seek out their other outlets when I’m back in the big smoke and try some more flavours.
You can find out more about Crosstown Doughnuts on their website here, information particularly on their vegan offerings here or follow them on Facebook.
