When: 31st March 2018
Where: The Larder, Bethnal Green, 241-243 Globe Road, Bethnal Green, E2 0JD
After pleasant flights back from Thailand, a nice National Express bus driver bending the rules slightly to get me to my hostel and a sleepy night in the maze of a hostel I was ready for the culinary delights of London and ready to show the boyfriend around the big smoke.
We first went for brunch at The Larder, a small cafe in Bethnal Green, a short walk away from the tube station and V & A Museum of Childhood. It got extremely busy whilst we were there, testament to its good food and coffee in a nice, relaxed atmosphere. There have a good selection of vegan options, vegan on request and gluten-free options, and all clearly marked on the menu. I went for the smashed avocado with lime, paprika and black pepper on toast. It was tasty, and the portion of avocado was nice and generous. A great little spot for some breakfast.
The Larder has a few venues across London and the south, as well as the one we visited in Bethnal Green, they are also in the William Morris Gallery and the Wetlands, both in Walthamstow, one in Newham and Epping Forest too. You can check out all their menus and venues on their website here.
