PickyWops is a completely vegan pizza restaurant in Fulham, London and a few other locations around the London area too. The Fulham restaurant is easy to miss, nestled in the back of Shopping Palace on the ground floor, despite this it was so busy we almost had to wait for a table, but the kind staff assembled an extra table for us! I recommend booking ahead if possible, as it was well worth it.

One of the many unique things about PickyWops is getting to choose your own base, with a selection of healthy grains including multigrain, burned wheat, turmeric, spirulina, hemp or kamut. I went for the ‘Take It Cheesy’ pizza – with vegan mozzarella, almond ricotta, coconut creamy cheese, coconut parmesan and roasted potato on a turmeric base. I recently have a thing about turmeric as the wonderful WWOOF host I had over winter in Northern Ireland liked to tell me the virtues of it, so I couldn’t resist! The variety of vegan cheese on the pizza was impressive, that they were made from various ingredients and they all had distinct flavours and textures. The boyfriend went for a ‘meatfeast’, he actually preferred mine. Both were really delicious.
Their menu is great – explaining the name ‘Pickywops’ and their inclusive community, and it looks like they do some pretty good desserts too…did I mention 100% vegan? I was too full to finish my pizza, they were really big, and they were happy to box up our leftovers as they also do a takeaway service.
So, in summary; giant 100% vegan pizzas, many different toppings, best selection of vegan cheeses, exciting bases, friendly staff, takeaway service…what’s not to love! Follow them on Facebook here.
