Guacamole and Tortilla Chips, Wahaca, London

When: 4th April 2018

Where: Wahaca, 19 – 23 Charlotte Street, London, W1T 1RL, UK

Before attempting the British Museum we thought we’d fuel up first, and having a craving for burritos we were happy to stumble upon Wahaca. Less than a 10 minute walk from The British Museum, not only did they have a separate vegan menu, they also boast sustainable values alongside this, they are the UK’s first Carbon Neutral Certified Restaurant Group, how great is that!? Wahaca are a chain restaurant specialising in Mexican Street Food in London, but also with restaurants in other major cities in the UK too, including Edinburgh, Liverpool and Manchester, check out their locations on their website.

We love guacamole, so we had guacamole and tortilla chips to start followed by burritos – I had the sweet potato burrito, he went for the fire-roasted pablamo pepper burrito, they were pretty similar to each other but both tasty.

And I can’t forget to mention the delicious, refreshing drink I had – a ‘Horchata’ – dairy free almond and rice milk with a sprinkle of cinnamon. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable; I wouldn’t have known there was a vegan menu if it wasn’t for the lovely waitress we had. The price for all was very reasonable considering its location in London too.
