When: 28th April 2018
Where: Momo Restaurant, 47 Patrick Street, Waterford, County Waterford, Ireland
On a lovely trip to Waterford we discovered the treasure that is Momo Restaurant. Momo Restaurant is an award-winning restaurant, with a diverse, creative and seasonal menu. I love the way they promote their local suppliers on their menu and social media too. This shows a real community and forward thinking ethos. And the quality of the food was phenomenal
Despite not being a vegetarian or vegan restaurant, the vegan options were fantastic. I had the buckwheat, red lentil, carrot, coriander burger, (€13.50) complemented with salsa, vegan herb aioli and chips. Fantastic greens on the side, the aioli was to die for and the burger was a generous portion and deliciously home-made.

The fella’ went for the yellow Thai curry (€12.50) which came with rice and a papadum, tasty and fresh, he enjoyed it so much he almost didn’t let me try it!
The pièce de résistance was the dessert: ‘Vegan Mess’ (€6). Constructed of aquafaba meringue, lemon and coconut curd, fruit compote and lemon sorbet, it was beautifully presented and totally delicious, with a little fresh mint and strawberries on top, what a treat!
