When: 17th May 2018
Where: TGO Falafel Bar, 11 Mary St, Galway, H91 T227
After a little day off volunteering at a beautiful and fascinating biodynamic farm near Galway city, we treated ourselves to some falafel-dishes for dinner. TGO Falafel bar, is a vegetarian and vegan falafel café in the centre of the bustling city of Galway, on the west coast of Ireland.
Most dishes seemed to be vegan, including what was available on the daily specials that day. I had the vegan beetroot arancini burger, as I cannot resist arancini when I spot them, though this was a slightly different take on the traditional arancini it was tasty, though one could think it was a bit carb heavy being in a burger and with chips, it was fresh and filling, just what the doctor ordered after a day’s weeding and pinching out tomatoes.

My friends went for the falafel bowl and a traditional falafel in pitta bread, all vegan too as was the delicious garlic mayonnaise too! For afters, we tried the jackfruit and walnut brownie and a vegan cookie. With helpful staff serving downstairs and cosy seating area upstairs, tonnes of vegan options and an overall friendly ambience, if you are in Galway, this is a must-visit café!

What’s funny is I’m in Galway on Sunday and wanted to go here, but it’s closed. I’m so close to rearranging my plans so I can visit this place

I don’t know how long you’re in Ireland for, but if your plans are flexible I’d definitely recommend TGO.
