When: 11th August 2018
Where: The Vegan Rocket, Penny Square, Haslem’s Lane, Lisburn, Northern Ireland
I had to pop to Lisburn and got the pleasure of visiting The Vegan Rocket. Set in the lovely bright and arty Penny’s Square, The Vegan Rocket opened earlier this year but is already popular and going from strength to strength, not only with their own menu in Lisburn but also supplying various local businesses with vegan cakes and other vegan food too.
The menu had a vegan barbecue theme which included teriyaki seitan kebab, Hawaiian burger and black bean burger. We shared a Hawaiian burger and a kebab. Seitan doesn’t always float my boat, but this was different, it melted in the mouth and was full of flavour. The Hawaiian burger was great too and both included fresh salad.
We had lovely cakes and lovely coffee, whilst the owner was shutting up shop we had a lovely chat, and she’s just the best.
