When: 28th October 2018
Where: Fennelly’s, 11 Upper Bridge St, Callan South, Callan, Co. Kilkenny, R95 R2P5, Ireland
In the quaint town of Callan, about a 20 minute drive from the city of Kilkenny there is a lovely café called Fennelly’s. A warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere and intriguing décor lie in wait tucked behind a slim shop front on the main road through the town.
All food is freshly cooked on site by friendly and accommodating staff happy to guide to through the menu to point out vegan options, there is a massaman curry and dhal that are vegan on the lunch menu and smashed avocado on the breakfast menu that can be suitable for vegans.
To celebrate and commemorate my completing my internship I treated myself to the smashed avocado which was combined with fresh salad leaves, mushrooms and a wrap, complemented by a beautiful cappuccino with plant milk.

I enjoyed my lunch whist admiring the interior; a mixture of vintage curiosities and contemporary prints. A list of birds in Irish and English, an old wooden peaches soapbox, glass bottles surround a cosy fireplace.
