Cebu Pacific Airlines – Manila to Puerto Princesa

We arrived, relieved in Ninoy Aquino International Airport after our disjointed journey, on the 16th December. Luckily our flight from Istanbul landed in Terminal 3, the same terminal our next flight departs from.

Vegan friendly snacks

Before our flight to Puerto Princesa, Palawan, we had some time to organise changing money and getting a SIM card for internet. I never used to bother with the latter, as I like to be a bit of a minimalist when it comes to technology and travelling, but it’s very handy for using maps and orienteering, instead of getting paper maps. We found SMART Sim cards, which are designed for tourists, and they set it up on our phones for us.

In the terminal after security, there were a few shops and eateries, I found some vegan friendly snacks– Bawang Cornick – garlic flavoured corn – and Glazed Pili Nuts, these were great for the short flight over. We also had Iced coffee in Airport Café in one of the café’s in the terminal too.

The flight itself was quick, smooth and comfortable. I had more leg room here than on the flight from Istanbul to Manila. We landed in Puerto Princesa’s tiny airport on time and collected our luggage quickly and easily. Tricycles and minivan taxis were easily accessible outside the one terminal. Watch out for this though, we almost got a little scammed as one of the taxi drivers was holding up a sign for our hotel, so we thought this was our prebooked taxi, we were led to a taxi and taken to our hotel, paid the driver and then when checking out of the hotel, they said we should have paid them, so just be sure to get clarity before hand on who you should be paying.
