From El Nido, Palawan, our next destination was the island of Cebu, ultimately to a place called Les Maisons D’Itac on the west of Cebu. The most efficient way to get there was via El Nido Airport. El Nido Airport is privately owned by the domestic airline AirSWIFT.
It is a mere 4km away from the main town and El Nido beach, and we easily got a tricycle to take us there with our suitcases. Set by Lio beach in and amongst a forested area, and with one terminal. It is small and organised, though the terminal did get a bit crowded at one point. It was clean, and there were plenty of toilets.
Soul Kitchen

There were two food/drink outlets, in opposite corners of the terminal. In the furthest corner, was Soul Kitchen, we were delighted to discover that aside from a ham and cheese bagel, had mostly vegan options! We tried 4 of the vegan siopao – they had a mushroom and cabbage filling. They were delicious! And really big! We had some fresh black coffee too. It was really good to have this option at such a small airport too.

El Nido – Cebu flight: €160.31 each; 1 hour and 35 minutes
The plane was comfortable and the we arrived to Cebu on time. We were well looked after – they even lent us umbrellas for the few paces from the airport to the plane.

The views from the plane were incredible and we could see the gorgeous coast line before we headed up over Palawan and on to Cebu.
