Flying Panglao to Manila, January 2023

6th January 2023

We flew with Air Asia from Bohol-Panglao International Airport to Ninoy Aquino International Airport, departing at 13:40 and landing in Manila at 15:10 on Friday 6th January. The flights were approximately €91 each.

Bohol-Panglao International Airport, replaced Tagbilaran Airport in 2018, and is located on Panglao. We had a minivan from Bohol Beach Club direct to the airport which took less than 15 minutes.

It has one terminal and a few gates, so it is small but bigger than El Nido airport. There aren’t many places to get anything to eat, and I couldn’t find anything vegan at all.

However, it was really well organised and check in was a smooth process. The airport has been designed to be eco-friendly in its architecture, with natural ventilation where possible, limiting the need for energy draining air conditioning. There were also free charging stations for mobile phones dotted around the airport too, which was very handy.

There was a beautiful mural too in the terminal after check in, reminding us of all Panglao and Bohol has to offer. We had a blast in blissful Panglao, and were anticipating the change of pace for the last leg of our trip, the capital city pf the Philippines, Manila!
